“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.”

OMtots is a yoga and mindfulness program
for kids allowing room for exploration of emotions, how they relate to the physical body, and what it means to fully be themselves in the world.
By exploring the mind body connection though the practice of yoga and mindfulness, children will gain self-regulation and control tools, as well as an understanding of the importance of whole person wellbeing.
Healthy body, healthy mind, healthy heart.
Creating young generations who are self-aware, calm, confident in their abilities, and believe in what they have to offer the world.
Yoga & Mindfulness
A typical class starts with a moment to chat about the day and become present. Warm up consists of a yoga game, meditation, or breathwork activity to get the mind and body ready to go on a
yoga adventure!
Yoga poses/postures are presented in a fun and active manner by means of a new story and adventure each week!
The mindful component is used to slow down, go deeper, and allow the brain and body to reflect & assimilate. The pose of the week & new positive affirmation are also introduced.

Mindfulness
Yoga
Mindfulness can be described as maintaining awareness of our thoughts, feelings and surroundings as they happen, without judgement. Practicing mindfulness can significantly improve physical, mental and emotional well-being.
A children’s yoga class combines visualization and imagination, breathing, story telling and age-appropriate poses. Focus is not so much on physical alignment and mastering poses, but rather on meeting children at their level.
Activities are presented in a playful manner to facilitate movement, connection, and stillness using games, songs, animal sounds and fun new names for different poses.
This means classes can be loud and fun -
but there are still pockets of stillness!
Some benefits of mindfulness activities explored in OMtots are:
1:1 or small group sessions
If big group classes, or school extra murals are not for your little yogi - try 1:1 or small group sessions.
Yoga poses/postures are still presented in the form of a new story and adventure each week, but classes are more hands on with that individual attention. Children will get to experience all the benefits of yoga in an environment that feels comfortable for them.

Hi, I’m Cara - owner of OMtots Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids.
OMtots was born from my experiences within my career as a teacher all over the world. I spent the longest of my time abroad in Asia, which I refer to as my second home. Witnessing children grapple with expressing their emotions in a healthy way and seeing how this impacts the way they go about their lives, is something that stuck with me and I knew I wanted to be a part of changing it.
During my own health journey, I have come to realize the importance of the mind-body connection, and that true health is all encompassing – an interconnected web of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual parts within us.
I know that I am here to help others - to be of service. And, I believe that if this work can be introduced at a young age, we will build generations who are self-aware, calm, confident in their abilities and in what they have to offer the world.
As a result, these generations will go on to experience less illness and disease.
Children are, after all, little people too. Little people trying to navigate life, facing a range of emotions and their own life experiences.
OMtots aims to be a part of helping young generations find their way, by providing a safe space for them to simultaneously build a deeper connection to self and the world around them.
